🤐 SORRY to say there are SILLY QUESTIONS that you can ask during an interview !!!

🔍 You’re in the final stretch of the interview, and then comes the pivotal question: “Do you have any questions for me?” But why do they ask? 🤔

💡 It’s not just a formality; it’s a gauge of your engagement, interest, and preparedness. This moment is your chance to shine, showcasing your genuine curiosity and passion for the role.

😲 In many interviews, candidates are often advised that there are no silly questions.

👎 However, the reality is that some questions may miss the mark or fail to impress the interviewer.

❓ Having conducted numerous interviews across all levels, from interns to C-suite executives, I’ve encountered my fair share of less-than-ideal questions when I ask, “Do you have any questions for me?” Here are a few examples:

1. “What does your company do?” 😯
2. “How many vacation days do I get?” 🛩
3. “Do I get overtime if I work extra?” 🤑
4. “Can I work from home?” 😴
5. “How quickly can I get promoted?” 🌄

🧐 So what should you do?

📝 Preparation is key. Research the company thoroughly, from its mission to recent projects. Craft questions that reflect this knowledge and demonstrate your understanding of the organization’s context.

🤔 What should you ask? Think about what matters most to you in a potential employer. Inquire about company culture, growth opportunities, challenges, and future plans. Your questions should delve deep and show your eagerness to contribute.

💼 Remember, this is not just about landing a job; it’s about finding the right fit for both parties. Approach it with authenticity and a genuine desire to learn.
