Parents, let’s talk about a concerning trend impacting our children’s future.
😔 According to official figures, 23 students have tragically taken their own lives in Kota in 2023, marking the highest ever for the country’s coaching hub. In 2022, the figure was 15. This highlights our students’ immense pressure, and it’s time for us to rethink our approach. 📉
🏫 Many students turn to dummy schools, hoping to crack entrance exams, only to face disappointment when they don’t meet the 75 per cent board exam requirement for admission to prestigious institutions like the IITs. This puts them under a dual burden, and the consequences can be devastating. 💔
But let’s delve deeper into why dummy schools might not be the best solution:
📚 **Lower Efficiency Levels:** Joining a dummy school might improve entrance exam results, but it doesn’t necessarily enhance a student’s efficiency. Long daily study hours can disrupt concentration and limit engagement in other activities.
👫 **Reduced Friend Circle:** Teenage years are crucial for social development, yet dummy schools often isolate students from their peers. Spending excessive time studying can lead to a shrinking friend circle and hinder social growth.
😨 **Lack of Confidence:** Dummy schools focus primarily on exam preparation, neglecting crucial skills like communication and confidence-building. This can leave students ill-prepared for interviews and group discussions, where social skills are vital.
